Imperial Russian Long Cossack Shashka, Marked 1890 Maasai and was the senior knightA very long and curved cossack shashka, with imperial markings and the date 189(0) on the ricasso. The length suggests this was probably a mounted cossack's sabre. The surface of the blade is quite pitted, but was polished sympathetically. Comes with a red leather tassel.
