Fractured Majesty, Calving Ice at Sólheimajökull Glacier Prints situated within a topographic depressionThe paintings Calmly Drifting Glacial Ice and Fractured Majesty, Calving Ice at Slheimajkull Glacier are responses to my previous expeditions to explore Mrdalsjkull and the Slheimajkull Glacier tongue in quite cold, though sharp and clear weather. Here, I am reflecting on the proud, calved forms I observed within my sketchbooks studies whilst being fully aware of the glaciers rapid retreat. Find out more about Jonathan here.
