Glenn Renell - South by Southeast aguilar-john-k-kewa Eugene Meieran31" x 25. 25" framed. "Township Butte is a volcanic plug about two miles from the house. It dominates the horizon in that direction by its singularity and because it runs east west there are always the engaging silhouette and shadow patterns to build upon in a painting. In South by Southeast, the gentle rise of the wild grassland to the butte and the sky crossing cloud find a powerful equilibrium with the chaos of color and marking of the foreground."
