The reel shows slight usage but remains perfect mechanically
A spectacular varnished and mortised walnut spacer with great tiger-maple-like ripples in the grain
Comes with the Abel pouch and box with a certificate card and warranty
What also makes the reel scarce is that it's a Eunuch-style (no ball bearings)
The Davy does appear to have been a reel that once purchased subsequently received frequent use with the consequence that when you do see a Davy the likelihood is that it will not be in pristine condition
Bogdan Trout Reel 6'9" The reel shows slight usageA nice Bogdan trout reel, 3 1 4" diameter and set up for LHW. Mint condition. The reel weighs 4. 9 ounces on my scale and has the standard 3 4" spool width. Black anodized side plates with clear anodized frame and spool with a silver anodized foot, crank handle, and oil cap button. Stainless screws. Pleasing fixed click drag. The reel packs into a brown suede drawstring leather pouch. A fine example of this versatile do it all model.
