Elite Electrolytes Horse Supplement, 5 lb. Shine Shaped for the rounder hoofElectrolyte supplementation is often thought of as only needed by performance horses; however, any horse that sweats for a prolonged period of time, regardless of reason, will benefit from electrolyte supplementation. Horses sweat for various reasons, the most common being exercise, weather, stress, and illness. When horses sweat, it results in the loss of not only water, but also sodium chloride, potassium and lesser amounts of calcium and magnesium.
