Q: How do I know if I need B12 injections versus oral supplements
The frequency of Vitamin B12 injections can vary based on individual needs, health status, and the severity of the deficiency
If a patient is severely deficient, a physician might recommend an injection every other day or daily for the first week to rapidly saturate the bodys tissues
Then, weekly for a few more weeks
Also, after weight loss surgery, patients are on a very restricted diet and adjusting to a reduction in stomach capacity making it difficult to ingest all the nutritional supplements required
