dried flowers and cedar

The Fontodi 2018 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Vigna del Sorbo is simply gorgeous now and we should expect better things to come as the wine continues its bottle evolution

Long finish with a floral touch to it

The wines tend to strike a balance of refinement in the mousse without shying away from power and structure across the range

The palate has a very smoothly delivered

2015 -VALLOCCHIO- Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Fanti Tenuta Fanti dried flowers and cedarSuckling 97,What a nose of dried meat, tar, tobacco, dried boysenberries, red licorice and baking spices. Hearty tannins surround the full bodied palate from every side, wringing bursting acidity from a full throttle core of ripe, chewy fruit. The power and intensity are undeniable, but as you seep in the rich dried spices and died meat on the finish, you catch a glimpse of crystalline acidity through the looking glass. Drink from 2025.
