You don't have to have a card in each slot, but for the number of cards you do want, you must fill each row one at a time, from left-to-right

The opposite is emphatically not true

Im going to highlight the cards that I think work the best in the deck, and/or the cards that I think are the most likely to impact the Commander format more broadly
