Platanus x hispanica Evergreen Slow growing and tolerant ofDeciduous. A vigorous, quick growing tree which will quickly provide a significant structure without being too heavy in crown. Recognizable by its smooth, marbled grey bark, large leaves, and bauble like fruits which persist through winter and into spring. The London Plane provides an uplifting, cathedral effect canopy, semi transparent and enveloping. Widely planted in the streets of London and surprisingly well behaved despite its large size.
