Description

And this one cord hanging down front the ceiling like a pointer

Frame: 6 3/4" x 5 5/8" not including hook

I know that reverse glass painting was taught to young women in the first half of the 19th century and then became widely popular as a decorative art from about 1850 to 1890

It measures 4 1/2" tall and 7" in diameter at widest

And with these carefully cutout paper rounds with hand-written numbers 1-9

Woman with Fan and Bustle, 1886 Signed Ink Drawing, Mounted as Found beautiful things And this one cord hangingDressed for the opera it would appear, fascinator on her head and fan dangling from one gloved finger. I love her in all of her finery, finely rendered in black ink. Makes me think a bit of Aubrey Beardley's women from the same era. Signed E. Miller (I believe that is an E) and dated Feb. 86 at lower left. 5 1 2" x 3 1 2". Good condition, mounted to backing paper, as found, with a few scattered small stains toning and a bit of glue stain at top left
