Antique Mounted Photo of Three Smiling Young Presumed African American Women (Named on Reverse) hand-colored ambrotype maybe 1870s-80sWhat a lovely threesome these women make, hands and elbows crossing and resting on one another in a manner that seems to express much love and affection and ease with one another. And what beautiful smiling faces, that also make it seem they have a certain ease with the photographer, too. On the reverse they are named Mrs. Fowler, Mrs. Hutchinson, and Mrs. Ashbury and everything about this photograph makes me want to know all about them. 6" x 3 15
