Deeply Expressive Inuit Carved Stone Head thick glaze whose white buds then brightThis carved stone head distills much of what I love about Inuit art through a spareness of means this face manages to feel resolute as well as vulnerable, wise but also curious, specific and open ended, and altogether very human. To my senses very powerful and very beautiful. No more words than that. 3 7 8" x 3 5 8" x 1 7 8" d. Beautiful vintage condition, with irregularities indigenous to the stone. Artist unknown, likely 1970s or so. Disc number
