Description

The lids don't lock tightly on

I think one can really viscerally feel the love and care that went into making this

Finely sculpted and beautiful from every view

which is a bit dry with a little bit of cracking

I did learn that the use of train whistles seems to have originated in England in 1832

1973 Second Place D.C. Armory Dog Show Trophy Plaque by Merle fortune telling The lids don't lock tightlyJust a fun one. I am not great with dog species, but I think this is a Rottweiler, and I would guess a portrait of the specific Rottweiler who took second place in the 1973 National Capital "Open Dog" Competition. It appears to be hand painted porcelain, glued I believe to the wooden plaque, and I think would make a pretty nice addition to a wall of dog portraits (or second place prizes!) 7 1 8" x 5" x 7 8" and in great vintage condition.
