French Tailor's Receipt, 1900, With Scattered Portrait Doodles carved ball and chain some sort of backing wouldI love old pages of scattered doodles like this and can't resist them. And to my eye quite a satisfying overall composition formed here. Done on the back of a French tailor's receipt, dated 1900. Scattered toning and stains, and found folded in quarters, probably tucked inside of a book and forgotten for 100 years or so. 10 5 8" x 8". Fold lines and stains as evident which feel very much all of a piece with it.
