Silver Painted Old STRING Tin (with twine inside) large inuit sculpture with metal panels of various

with metal panels of various sizes in cream

textures make this feel as much like sculpture as a functional object

but overall very good condition and I think just terrific

The fineness of this example makes me think it has a good bit of age to it

2 3/4" in diameter and 3/16" thick

Silver Painted Old STRING Tin (with twine inside) large inuit sculpture with metal panels of variousI'm not quite sure when this tin was painted silver and labeled with tall thin hand painted white letters reading "string," but it looks as if a good many years ago, and certainly seems product of a great depression sensibility, when string saving became a habit.
