1853 Diary with Many Years of Varied Entries bird with base and which I might guess

and which I might guess someone's mother lovingly made for them

with the rings stepped back toward the center

Photos show the pin in one the hinges as having slid a bit

how to put a price on what might just become one's favorite drawing ever

making them feel all the more singular

1853 Diary with Many Years of Varied Entries bird with base and which I might guessIt is impossible for me to walk away from things like this, with so much life, so many stories and so many years! embedded in them. This seems to have begun its life in 1853 as an E. P Chase' s day book, but there is writing in it in a few different hands, and much of it from the 1880s, when E. P. or someone else took to using it to record the deaths of family members and friends and of the "old horse!" most of these having no relationship to the day
