A rare find and much more affordable compared to a similar reel with its original parts and finish
Line capacity up to a DT3
What makes this reel even more fascinating and historically important is the D stamp (with tails on the D) on the inner frame
Currently set up for left hand retrieve but can be easily converted to right
Made in the early 1980's in the USA
Marc Aroner Spring Creek Fly Rod 7'6" 3/2 #4 DF Vintage Fly Tackle A rare find and muchAn Aroner Spring Creek fly rod, 7'6", 2 piece, 2 tips, built for a #4 line. I built this rod in the early 1990's and it is in very good condition with a very small amount of use. There is some slight brassing to the inner guides and the seat hardware edges. There is a small cosmetic flex crack to the mid male wrap. Fast DF action with a nice sized swell showing at the grip. Blonde cane oven tempered to a dark wheat straw. Three up node pattern
