This is a terrific pair of what I believe are pretty old brass lion claws
then our young Samuel wrote in the answers
extended arms of this man and woman as they reach out for one another
with an opening of 3" in diameter
It's certainly had a life--I know that it dates at least to the 19th century
Vintage Wooden Playing Card or Place Card Holders, or Trumps Markers south dakota This is a terrific pairYou know I love old playing cards, and these would be a fun way to display a few, or to use as place card holders, especially for a games night and then they could also be used to mark the trump in bridge. They appear to be handmade perfectly imperfect, and really sweet. Each measures approx 2 1 2" t x 1 3 4" w x 1 8" thick. In great vintage condition.
