Maison Joseph Drouhin Beaune 1er Cru Clos Des Mouches Blanc, 2023 Appelation - Minervois and gleaming red fruitsHarmonious fullness in the aftertaste. This wine allies remarkably the complexity and elegance of a Btard Montrachet, but with perhaps a bit more acidity and leaning toward hazelnuts and toasted almonds. Slow pressing ensures a silkiness and finesse in the wine while fermentation and aging in barrels gives this wine a depth of complexity that make it one of the world's greatest chardonnays. 18 months in barrel, 25% of which is new.
