The underside of the lid and interior bottom of the box is lined with dark green fabric with a little padding underneath

and a series of all sorts of geometric forms or symbols

but also great from an object design standpoint--and perhaps to keep handy for announcing one's daily mood

which seems a pretty good indication

Beautiful Old Bunch of Wrinkled Stone Fruit Grapes standup brush The bristles are firmly attachedThese old stone fruit grapes were one of my favorite Brimfield finds, brilliantly executed to resemble grapes well on their way to becoming raisins. I havent been able to find another bunch like these, and really think they are quite exquisite. I'm honestly not certain how the wrinkled surface on these was achieved, but they are hard, heavy for their size and I am pretty certain marble, and early, with wooden stem and wire holding them together.
