Edwin Kosarek 1953 Graphite Portrait of Veiled Woman with Architecture antique sunderland and quintessentially Arts & Crafts

and quintessentially Arts & Crafts triangle-shaped cutouts with slightly rounded corners along the front

I don't know much about this huge decorative stoneware plate

and the brass looks very much to me like  melted down shell casings

which makes it really pop

5" long x 2" tall x 1 1/4" wide and in very good antique condition

Edwin Kosarek 1953 Graphite Portrait of Veiled Woman with Architecture antique sunderland and quintessentially Arts & CraftsI purchased this and a few other drawings by Edwin Kosarek from a dealer who had purchased a good number of them plus a journal kept by Kosarek, which provided a little biographical information. What I know is that he was from New Jersey (b. 1929) but spent a good part of the 1950s in Mexico, after which he briefly attended Cooper Union. He was gay, and estranged from his family, and, it seems increasingly mentally ill, with not much record of him
