the varnish is hard and in excellent condition

Near mint condition overall with a few very minor marks around the the frame edges but the crank plate and spool are nice and clean and no other signs of wear that I could find anywhere

The second original tip was compromised and Bob agreed to make the replacement tip

Sage 505 Fly Reel with an Extra Spool 7'5" the varnish is hard andA very nice Sage 505 fly reel with an extra spool. This reel was made exclusively for Sage by Hardy. 3 3 8" diameter and set up for RHW but is easily swappable with a reversible pawl internally and nickel silver lineguard externally. Catalog weight of 4. 65 ounces. Both the reel and extra spool have line loaded on them but I could find no sign whatsoever that they have been fished. The reel and spool are in pristine mint condition. Strong smooth drag
