This is a gorgeous art pottery plate with calla lily design produced by San Jose Pottery
Each candle measures approx
on the short sides of which has been written "color dominoes
the lacquer has worn off of the top face of the handle on the lid
it is beautifully made and has a great presence--as much as a sculpture as a functional vase
Carved Wooden Plaque or Trivet brass bird This is a gorgeous artI just love the immediacy of this carved wooden plaque, which I would probably mount a hook to the back of and hang on the wall, though it would make a pretty great trivet, too. I can just picture its maker planning out the design and then emphatically carving away. The carving itself is pretty deep and the fine details pretty nicely done I'd say and looking at it now I'm thinking it would be a pretty nice piece to make prints or rubbings from. 8 1 8"
