Large, Extremely Weathered and Hol(e)y Carved Head of Christ (?) Figure shaker style box may be that old--it isHoley Christ! The hole in the underside of this very old, much weathered carved head suggests it was once attached to a large caved figure I presume representing Jesus himself, though perhaps a female santo; hard to tell for certain! The wood is more or less petrified one assumes from years and years of the figure living out in the elements, through perhaps the head was thrown in the ocean at some point, then by true miracle washed up again on shore!
